ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Of Faith is part of the "Phobias" artworks, a surreal and groutesque series which depicts the inner fears and darkest thoughts of the human mind and soul. Of Faith is a painting about my personal lack of faith into any kind of God. When dealing with the darkest moment of our lives, those one who have faith into something above their reason can always feel protected and guided by an invisible hand. But for those who are not carrying any faith, when the reason fail to explain everything, everything that’s left is an overwhelming emptyness and desolation, knowing that no one will ever come to save you. As I keep questioning myself about all those religion-related topics, there are moments where I feel "a hole in my chest", which I'd eventually hope someday can be filled by something I've not found yet.
