ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Collage of acid-free tissue paper painted with acrylic paint and acrylic marker. Orange is the happiest colour and the luckiest. There's no greater exilirator than a pattern of orange across nature. The large poppies form a muted pattern that flows behind a layer of tissue paper while orange highlights and green leaves create a counter dynamism on top. The collage has been created on canvas board treated to archival standards to preserve the work. The tissue paper has been coated on both sides with Golden soft gel medium and the collage given a final layer of protection with Golden UV matte varnish. The collage wraps over the sides of the panel. The picture is the standard size 10 x 8". Signed on the reverse with description and title.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

You’ll usually see me thinking about composition, playing with pattern and testing spatial relationships, that sort of thing. As for anything else I think about how it affects all the above. I enjoy looking for unlikely structures and trying out fleeting interractions. The question of balance is never far away. When it comes to meaning, the torn and faded materials in my collages show where man has been. I suppose everything reflects an unidealised view of humanity. But I’m also attracted to the opposite, the wide expanses of nature (especially the sea) where there’s not much humanity at all. My influences may not be apparent… I keep coming back to Cézanne and Matisse.
