Creating this work, I asked myself some questions. How many personalities one can find in oneself? How often are you honest for yourself and for others? Why our behavior could differ from some people’s, and when are we real? Each of us sometimes gets into situation when an individual wants to be enjoyed by someone, and in order to achieve this goal, one can agree to the person and his or her opinion. We also want to like ourselves, to find balance inside us. So is this difference in our behavior means demonstration of not proper identities, or regular changes coming gradually? The main idea of this work is about split personality. I tried to create a confused person. Visually the work may resemble Siamese twins or mirror reflection, working as a symbol as well. The artwork is created by digital collage means. Printing on canvas.

I'm a Ukrainian artist and designer, currently live in Berlin. I was born in Odesa, but then moved to study fashion design in Lviv National Academy of Arts. So, I graduated from the Fashion Design Department. During my studies, I discovered not only the world of fashion, but also art in general. That’s why after time I realized that I am interested in working and to develop in different directions. It is important for me to engage in different projects, to shift the perspective from one discipline to another, so it helps me to be more honest with myself, and create art, both independent creativity and work on commercial projects. So, I work as a fashion designer, artist who creates collages, paints/draws, and digital illustrator. That’s my main direction, although I am open to discoveries. I’m interested in working deep inside through art, what we Ukrainians are going through, and how it brought me to the point where I am now. Through art I can convey a message, promote a concept, raise issues and develop a culture. I want to introduce people to Ukrainian culture and share my thoughts, feelings and views on different topics. Art is like a dialogue between the artist and the viewer.
