Inspired by elements of nature, this piece is part of a new series focused on movement of hues and gentle washes of colors. A hint of gold leaf adds a bit of contrast and focus to the soft forms. This piece is ready to hang or can be floated in a frame to keep the modern style.

Edyta Pachowicz is a contemporary painter working in Los Angeles, whose work can best be described as figurative impressionistic realism specializing in oil paint and charcoal. Winning many regional art contests by the age of 10, she began her career with illustration and computer animation, and her exploration of fine art oil painting at the age of 25. Through delicate expressions, her paintings elicit a deep exploration of elemental emotions. Her work is at once expressive and mysterious, realistic, and abstract, though still maintaining figures as her prime subject matter. A Polish immigrant with French heritage, she attributes her talent to her European roots. Being immersed in a classical art-driven culture from such an early age had a profound impact on her creativity, laying a lasting foundation and love of the old master techniques as well as a determination to surpass those skills by weaving her passion and knowledge into a defined style. A prominent characteristic of Edyta’s work is how she treats the paint. The blurred appearance of her figures is created by layers of splashed paint and finite strokes concealing any harshness of lines, form, and environment. She renders her subjects with a limited palette and muted hues, unifying her pieces and assigning a distinguishable style, intentionally leading the viewer to a point of interest, and keeping all else undefined to exemplify a peripheral view as it would appear in life. Her work continues to evolve in intricacy by creating provocative work that invites intimate interpretation.
