"Sow a Prayer 1" is a captivating artwork born from the rich agricultural heritage of my province, a place where farmers cultivate not just rice but also dreams. Inspired by their unwavering dedication and their profound connection with the land, this piece embodies the concept of sowing a prayer. It is an exploration of the art of investing in oneself, of nurturing dreams, and persevering against all odds. As you immerse yourself in this work, I invite you to reflect on the powerful principle of sowing and reaping, one deeply rooted in the pages of the Bible. It's a reminder that our efforts, like those of the diligent farmers, can yield abundant fruits. In my usual style, I employ a performative approach, weaving strings that hover above the canvas, creating layered textures and depth. Within the piece, you'll find a vivid portrayal of farmers toiling in the field, accompanied by a majestic, colorful bird soaring above, symbolizing progress and the rewards of hard work. Crafted using acrylic on canvas, this painting takes on a life of its own. The use of mercerized cotton string and boat nails along the edges adds an extra dimension to the work, providing a tactile and visual journey. The canvas itself is primed with synthetic material, enhancing the textures that make this piece come alive. For a polished presentation, "Sow a Prayer 1" is elegantly box framed, with nails securing the sides and tying the strings, contributing to the overall aesthetic. Hanging this artwork is a straightforward process, as it comes equipped with a nylon attachment at the back. A simple screw is all that's needed to securely display this vibrant and thought-provoking piece on your chosen wall.
