About The Artwork
Our friend here was photographed in the mountains of North Carolina one fall day. The photograph was digitally edited to black and white then stamped on smooth metal. Inks were added in by hand and due to the process and texture of the metal the colors clustered in a beautiful accident of perfection forming tears of color - in this beautiful accident my friend acquired his name: "Tears of Life" Hours of hand colors were added to bring our friend to life. Silver inks highlight the fine details. The work was sealed with a protective coating, signed, and numbered along with a special message on the back of the work.

Born in a war-torn communist country, Snjezana experienced first-hand what it was like to live without many things. She remembers many nights studying by candlelight because they had no electricity. When she was eight her grandparents helped her escape and brought her to America. The plane landed into a world of freedom and marvelous new things. For the first time Snjezana experienced water from a faucet and lights everywhere! She was in her own fairy tale and it was the beginning of a new life and journey.
