ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A word cloud in black and white comprised of the most pertinent words appearing in the lyrics of The Ramone's classic punk rock masterpiece, "I Wanna Be Sedated." Easily the best known of all of the pop punk band's songs, it achieved certified platinum record status. While The Ramones may not have been the biggest rock band in history, they have deservedly been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and certainly surpassed all others in their level of cool (and contrary to popular belief, none of the Ramones were actually related to each other). This image was first posted at midnight on 12.30.19 for a very specific reason; any true Ramones fan who knows this song will understand the significance. Do ya qualify? Though my work manifests itself in many different ways, from the delicate transparency of digital watercolor, to the no-holds-barred starkness of noir photography, to even the fanciful abstract-turned-conceptual properties of my fractal art, the undercurrent that binds them all is my love of surrealism. I prefer the worlds my mind creates to the one in which I live, and though I create all my art to please myself as a rule, nothing thrills me more than when it speaks to someone else as it does me.
