Angela Matera is an italian artist and printmaker. Born in 1978 in Siracusa(Italy), she lived in Siracusa until 18 years old and then she lived 3 years in Rome where she studied Illustration at “European Institute of Design” and 2 years in Florence where she studied all the Printmaking technics at the international school “Il Bisonte”. In 2002 she came back to Siracusa and she opened its own Studio/Gallery “L’Arte…Per Inciso” where she until 2022 has created, sold her work and taught printmaking technics . During those years, she collaborated with several art collectives from the Italian scene, she has participated in art fairs in London, Chicago and Paris and she had some solo shows with her prints and paintings. Currently, she’s working on her project about women with mixed media on canvas, printmaking techniques and collage. She closed her studio in Sicily and she lives in Madrid producing her art in a co-working studio.
