About The Artwork

This image was inspired during the pandemic lockdown. Lucky enough to live in a wooded area, I spent solitary daily walks in thick woodland. I discovered secluded woodland clearings and stumbled my way into rarely visited glades. The life force of ancient woods can be felt without the interference of human noise. This image is an attempt at capturing the secluded magic, and unspoken secrets of those woodland spaces. As the pandemic extended through the months it stuck me that of course all medicines for all diseases have their origins in nature. In the woodland and thick undergrowth, and one can only marvel at the importance of looking after the dense, natural woodlands of the World, and only despair at the fact that we don't.
