Jarron Carter is an American artist based in Los Angeles, CA. He is widely noticed for his use of golden ornaments in his work. Carter achieved fame after his art was exhibited in Paris, France at the Louvre Museum in 2016. Born January 27, 1995 in Milwaukee, WI, Carter was raised in a neighborhood surrounded by poverty, violence, & negativity. He has been creating art since a child. His art was always recognized throughout school. At the age of 19 he moved to Chicago in 2014 where his career started to take off before packing up and moving to California. Carter arrived in Los Angeles California March 1st, 2015 and was homeless on the streets of Hollywood for a month with only a few clothes, limited materials, and his art. Without any food, money, or shelter, he still managed to stay focused on his goals. After a month he found a homeless shelter nearby. He slept there for a few months while working both with art and a seasonal part time job. In six months Carter’s hard work finally started to pay off. Obtaining some great opportunities to progress and take his career to the next level. He's done some acting and also several of his works were featured on set for web series "Coffee House Chronicles". Shortly after, he did a interview & some filming for PBS SoCal working on a piece he titled "Blind Faith". In addition during early September 2015 Carter had his debut Art exhibition in LA at Wallspace LA art gallery. He sold three paintings during the exhibition "War", "Beautifully Flawed" & "Power". Art started out as just a hobby for this charismatic young artist. It wasn't until after high school when he realized that being an artist is his destiny. Working primarily with mixed media his visions express his own heavy emotions, experiences, fantasies, and obsessions with foreign cultures and history. Carter has been involved with art his entire life both in and out of school. He believes that creating art and inspiring others is what he was born to do. Artist Statement: With the accuracy of my lines and poses in motion I make the viewer really feel the emotional mood my art creates. I like to challenge the mind of the viewer and encourage them to step outside of their comfort zone. Ornaments in golden colors lend elegance to my works of art. Intelligent and harmonic, I emphasize the importance of freedom to my thoughts and peace, as well as harmony in the modern world.
