I began my career after receiving a B.F.A. in fine arts/painting from Syracuse University, NY. I believe the pursuit of happiness is the right of every human being. I seek and pursue in capturing the memories that bring happiness through the exercise of making marks and coloring on the canvas. What a delight it is to be able to capture those memories of happiness through art. My journey as an 'Artist' began when I was a young girl when my fascination of colors came alive, I loved doing coloring books, dressing up dolls, making shapes with colored papers. Everything looked very lively with lots of colors. My fascination with colors grew deeper as I entered junior high school. However, in college, my focus and intrigue broadened, which led me to a concentration in abstract. Nevertheless, making shapes, forms, lines, with colors was just as interesting, exciting and important in my art. My foundational perspective of art changed when I became a mother. I was still passionate about abstract art; however, my fascination shifted from colors to capturing happiness. More specifically, capturing the moments of "childlike" happiness. Through my art, I want to tell a story of love, affection, attachment and sense of closeness through the painting.
