Unity, embracing, and respecting all forms of life are the key elements for a peaceful future. However, our world is currently divided by conflicts and the desire to impose beliefs. To imagine a future without divisions, we must recognize the interconnectedness of all life and embrace it without narrow-minded ideologies. My artwork embodies the ideals of freedom and unity. In this artwork, three figures of different races gracefully merge into a harmonious unity. Each figure represents a distinct region and embodies the cultural heritage and wisdom of their respective people. Together, they symbolize the interdependence of all human beings and the shared duty to honor and safeguard each other's lives. The central figure represents the transition into maturity, combining wisdom with youth. By holding the red thread of life, she embraces autonomy and shapes her own destiny. The blue burka signifies the limitations imposed on women, while the embroidered symbols of the tree of life represent their strength and connection to their heritage. The image of whimsical flowers highlights the importance of freedom and empowerment for women. The redhead woman symbolizes the soul, detached from our ordinary reality. Her flowing hair represents freedom and the essence of our soul. The image of the soul holding a cigarette signifies defiance against societal stereotypes and liberation from prejudice. A pure soul perceives the world holistically and intuitively.

Kateryna Goncharova is a Ukrainian artist born in the Kherson region, and currently residing in Armenia. Initially, she obtained a degree in design and architecture but later chose to develop as an artist because she always felt much more drawn to this craft. Her work revolves around important social and philosophical issues such as war, emigration, the role of volunteers, refugee life, environmental issues, and issues faced by women in a patriarchal society. She also loves creating figurative artworks dedicated to human diversity, inclusivity, and inner strength. Her pieces depict people of all genders, ages, races, and social statuses. Kateryna prefers to create her works in mixed media with oils and acrylics.
