Graduated in 1997 from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Major in Graphic Design, Advertising and Photography. Currently a creative director for Darkmatter Studios Asia. Apart from painting, Yane Shaharuddin have also done various of art form from photography, videography, directing a numerous of music videos and conceptual video art. Yane love typography, which been reflected in most, if not all of his paintings, in conjuncture with street art, graffiti and urban conceptual. His raw approach has been a stand out in his current work, mainly been influence by the broken alleys, dark corridors, street names sign and broken sign board. In his realization, no matter how broken they are, there are a sense of directions in them.
