I'm an eclectic, Mixed-Media Abstract artist, who grew up in a small town. I represent myself as KelzJArt on social media. I've been painting for several years, as an outlet, but only recently started sharing my artwork with the world. Due to feeling the pressures of what societal norms were, I chose to focus on working towards my educational degrees (Bachelor's and Master's), instead of prioritizing my artistry. I found a love for painting with acrylics in 2008 and with alcohol inks in 2018, but I was always an artsy child. My love of music is incorporated into my creations, as I always have earbuds in my ears while I'm painting, to achieve the perfect escape from the outside world - giving my all and Soul to the work in progress. My work ranges from minimalism to busy markings on different substrates: canvases, yupo paper, and ceramic coasters. My absolute favorite medium is acrylic. Art, to me, is its own universe that has this immense, yet, effortless ability to connect all walks of life, regardless of its form; it revitalizes my soul and purifies my existence. The entire creative process brings me Joy, Excitement, Peace, and Relaxation.
