Alexandre Chartrand is a Québécois painter and filmmaker. He directed La Planque (2004) and produced the documentary Lemoyne (2005), two feature films that were screened in theatres across Québec and in Toronto. In addition to directing several music videos, television documentaries and short films, he also works as film editor since the early 2000. Chartrand was recently awarded a Gémeaux (Canadian TV Awards) for best documentary film editing for Godin (Simon Beaulieu, 2011). His career in the visual arts includes two photography exhibitions, the performance evenings Les Décapantes en diable (from 2002 to 2004) and four solo painting exhibitions (Totalitarisme économique 2010, Hommage à Godin 2011, On se fait tous fourrer 2012 and Dix Ans 2013).
