Pedro Vidal de Melo é artista visual nascido em Teresina. Piauiense, sonhador e pai, teve infância “bem vivida” do interior em fazenda dos avós ao litoral, entre Batalha, Piracuruca e Barra Grande. Estudou Comunicação Social no Piauí e Design Gráfico em São Paulo, onde viveu por 6 anos trabalhando com publicidade e design. Em seguida morou no Rio de Janeiro, quando começou a pintar paisagens cariocas de modo autodidata. Essa vivência, misturada à saudade, trouxe uma visão peculiar sobre as origens e tradições da terra natal. O sentimento aflora na frase do artista “a gente não é tão piauiense dentro do Piauí quanto é quando está fora”. De volta ao Piauí, começou a pintar inspirado nas lembranças afetivas da infância entre árvores e cactos, assim, entranhados de amor pelas raízes e cultura do seu povo nordestino, nasce SER_TAUM.
