ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I choose acrylic paint in an abstract style to express my feelings in time of need. This particular work was created during the Covid epidemic when racial strife was high in the USA and responds to the great and promising upheaval of the times. This is a personal expression of the emotional struggle for strength and the hope of a more promising future for our world. This work is energetic and full of movement.

I am an artist currently focusing on abstract pieces portraying the amazing dichotomy that I am observing in our world today. On the one hand we have strife and discord; on the other we have amazing growth toward one amazingly beautiful world. My hope is that the thoughtful observer detects both and that it helps them see that we can all live in harmony as one. My process involves little preplanning. Once started, my paintings simply flow from my tools, which are varied and often unusual. Often, they seemingly come directly from my soul. I have painted all my life and experimented with realism, portraiture, plein air, mixed media and most all mediums, but right now, in this time of racial strife and Covid19, these have captured me and are feeding me like the perfect diet.
