Rebecca paints landscapes and still lives, she enjoys finding inspiration from indoor and outdoor life. She works to commission as well as selling her original work as well as having a successful range of illustrated card designs. 'My desire is to connect with the materials, build bonds with the canvas, sit in the sunshine, or that tinkling of rain and fluttering breeze, observe and paint. Mastering my interpretation of colour and materials, understanding my connection to the subject and exploring is my main objective. Observations and humour have encompassed themselves in my old drawings. Now I'm here tantalising ideas with brushstrokes, observing the landscape or celebrating a group of found objects in the form of a still life. I don't adhere to the rigidity of categorisation, I ebb and flow with the flux as the creative passion drives me, quietly acquainting myself with my work.'
