ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The source and inspiration for writing the picture was a bird. The red-tailed black cockatoo also known as Banksian- or Banks' black cockatoo, is a large black cockatoo native to Australia. Adult males have a characteristic pair of bright red panels on the tail that gives the species its name. I liked playing with texture, spots and color. I wanted to focus on the bird's tail, bright orange spots. Something cosmic is present here in the background. And then ... your flight of fancy
