ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A Curious Imagination was drawn and then painted as a collaboration between myself and my five year old daughter Leiana. We worked on this painting for a long time and she is a cat lover. I searched for imagery for days looking for a cute white cat peeking over an object to represent the spirit of irresistible curiosity. This work is the first painting in an upcoming series where I will be combining my abstract paintings, with ferns and greenery, along with an adventurous animal. These 3 aspects combine my love for abstract art, indoor and outdoor plants - as I am a gardener, and animals. My children love animals and adding animals into this series is my way of including my children indirectly. To me, animals represent love, responsibility, loyalty, and cuteness. All great things to add to a work of art right? :)
