I was stuck for a long time on whether to call this painting A Longing to be Found/Discovered. But both found/discovered only relate to the positive to me. I eventually chose captured, as I like the positive and negative connotations that can be associated with the word. Whether it is an escaped convict, a child playing hiding seek, a lonely shy person waiting for the Mr/Ms right or a sunrise that is waiting to be captured by artist. A Longing to be Captured is a work that attempts to convey all this and much more.
