Louis Knight is a contemporary abstract artist originally from Brooklyn, New York, and now lives and works from a studio on Long Island, NY. He was introduced to art and the art world at a young age and throughout the years he was mostly inspired by color relationships and the beauty and complexity of the natural world in addition to the emotional landscape within. But most of all, he encourages the viewer to always bring their own meanings to the work. LK loves working in bold mixed media abstracts, primarily mixed media painting, a process of layered acrylic paint, medium, gesso, ink, washes on canvas. His paintings found a home in prestigious private collections in the United States and all over the world. While working and creating his own art, Mr. Knight also managed an art gallery, curating a wide range of local artists and exhibiting a successful "One woman show". Mr. Knights’ philosophy is very simple. He believes that “Art is a way of life that consumes all including every thought and action of the artist as well".
