ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When I made this painting I was thinking of my grandmother. She has been suffering from dementia and I kept thinking of the many memories that she will lose over time. Wondering if she will at one point forget her children and all the people she helped take care over her life time. Seems dark and lonely but when she sees people she smiles and for now we will keep those moments treasured. It is my hope that we can one day eradicate this horrible disease.
