ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Radiant Wunder is a non-objective abstract expressionist work that exudes warmth, optimism and energy. The composition feels natural and organic and its composition accentuates an uplifting movement. Warm yellows, red, orange and marroon creating a phenomenon which feels inspired by a sunrise or glowing fire. Hints of blue, green and gray peek through the veils complimenting the warm colors.The artist's unique technique is employed by a layering liquid paint, drying sections, adding more and then washing off the entire painting. This creates a mysterious patina effect. The surface of the painting is textured with silica sand and gesso and adds a sensual tactility to the entire piece. The edges are left painted revealing the creative process. The work is signed on the back and is ready to hang.

Nature continually presents me with soothing colours, exciting designs, delightful patterns, intriguing patinas and infinite space. Nature presents light, dark, shadows and movement which evoke emotions of mystery, wonder and love. My goal as a painter is to use nature’s abstract elements like colour and space to capture a particular feeling, a feeling of unity, passion or peacefulness. I strive to create painterly abstractions that mysteriously resonate with my deeper self and hopefully with the soul of the viewer. I believe art is a way to communicate one soul to another.
