I bring to life concepts and feelings that escape my verbal language, celebrating life and love, in all their forms, using shapes, scents, sounds and colors, as an inspiration.
I combine organic shapes and vibrant colors in multiple layers and strong contrasts, which convey depth and movement. I see my paintings as sculptures of myself, with all the contradictions and weaknesses of a human being.
At first, my process is chaotic, impulsive, experimental, translating and revealing the subconscious, without rules or limits. In the final phase I tends to abruptly change direction to find harmony in chaos, delimiting spaces and shapes, almost obsessively.
I am fascinated by the marks of time on materials, constantly looking for ways to replicate these effects in my stories. I love the beauty of colored traces levitating unexpectedly and leaving marks that enrich the story of each work.
Embracing mistakes is my way of finding beauty in imperfection.
