The painting was created using glow-in-the-dark paints. In a dark room or at dusk, the fluorescent frame begins to glow and reveals the picture to its fullest.

Maria Umanets Born in Kyiv Ukraine 1989. Maria's paintings are her response to contemporary events that shape the history of humanity or deeply touch her emotions. Whether it's horrifying wars, cataclysms, political scandals, or the human stories witnessed in everyday life, as an artist, Maria Umanets filters through these events, perspectives, and emotions, reflecting them on the canvas and drawing attention to the challenges of human existence. Her favorite art epoch is Classicism, where artists sought the finest realism in execution technique and profound meaning in the paintings' narratives. However, as a modern artist, she combines realism with contemporary trends, materials, and technologies, creating unique images. The main feature of her paintings is the unique proprietary technique of using paints that are barely noticeable when illuminated but manifest and glow in darkness or semi-darkness. These paintings accumulate light energy and reveal themselves in the dark, thereby reflecting the full depth and meaning of her paintings. In this way, Maria challenges stereotypes that details and meaning can only be discerned in bright light. In reality, the "dark side of the moon" can only be seen in darkness.
