I was born in Sicily. The south and the Mediterranean are the roots of my soul and my feelings. I come from classical studies. I could have been a doctor if I had not met the Theater. And in the theater my infinite journey into Art begins. I am an actor and a director, a playwright and a writer. And I love using the verb to be, because I have never done in my life what I am not. I love playing with lights, a game that I have fed by landing on photography until being an honorable mention at the IPA in Los Angeles in 2017. And in the game of lights, I found painting, a language that allows me countless escapes, each of which brings me back to myself. "I am what I don't know." So says a character in one of my stories. And it's a phrase that comes from the most intimate part of myself, because my whole life, up to this point, has been a continuous search, a continuous pushing beyond my own limits. Art has certainly been the means, and I'm not referring to the technique of expression; on the contrary, it has always been secondary to exploring the deepest folds of my soul. Painting is for me like a catharsis that comes to life in the shapes and colors spread on the canvas; of shadow and light. Shadows that I try to illuminate and lights that I would like to fade. It's the need for a space of quiet; but it continually escapes. And I realize that my painting could be summed up in a single phrase: what I don't know. - Wonder Korner, Palazzo D’Amico, Milazzo 2024 - Session 6, Galeria Azur Berlin, Berlin 2024 - Il Sogno di Demetra, Galleria San Babila, Milan, 2024 - Viaggio verso l’introspezione, MO.C.A.
