I have painted the word art to look like a four legged animal. hence the title "art the animal" onto canvas. the silver drip represents targets and mistakes.I painted over a hand made paper stencil. The black and yellow is the colors of bees that have a sting in their tail.

I first became interested in art after spending six months in India in the early 90's. On my return , I studied Art and Design at UCE and gained a BA (Hon) I didn't feel that a degree alone would be enough to secure a good career so I went on to study education at Plymouth and gained a PGCE, then a MA at Wolverhampton . I know have been lucky in my life, I had my own design company and sold snowcrete cactuses and bales of hay covered in fur, I have been involved in several exhibition including two live/work space exhibitions for the Deputy Prime Minsters office when Labour were in government. My work includes sculpture and painting and design products. I'm influenced by artist such as Marcal Duchamp, Louise Bourgeois, Jeff Coombs and Richard Hamilton. I produce art because I’m driven by intuition, inspiration and motivation, art for me is a tangible philosophy and the only real thing I can do .
