About the Artist

Brian Saunders

United Kingdom

I was always sketching in my exercise books at school but never took up painting. Our Art teacher was more interested in his own work that that of the students. It was many years later that I took up sketching and painting again. I had I heart bye-pass at 39 and during my recuperation I started again in ernest. It was then that I painted the Panther. I went back to work and family life meant that I could't find the time to do much. Since my retirement I now have time to visit galleries, paint and sketch and attend Art classes again. I find inspiration from other artists and photograpers and like to play around with basic colours. More to come in the months ahead.
