Abstract 1 Print

My name is Robert Kimmerle. I am an American artist with a studio based in Texas. I sell original art, commissioned paintings, and limited edition prints. I have been an active artist my entire adult life. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, with a major in Design, and a double minor in painting and art history. Early in my career I was represented by several galleries selling my original paintings. In order to better support my growing family I started concentrating more on graphic art, illustration, web development, and motion graphics, and have been creating for over three decades. I have worked as a Designer, Art Director and Creative Director for agencies and corporations, and owned a web design and marketing agency, which I successfully sold. My true ambition is the creative process of fine art and expressive painting. I have recently reestablished my painting lifestyle with new works and commissioned paintings. I create one-off original paintings from a semi-abstract approach to landscape and figurative paintings. I work in oil, acrylic, and mixed media ranging from small works on paper to large paintings on canvas. I paint what moves me, not what markets dictate. I only accept commissioned works that fall within my style. I continually experiment with new techniques and styles rather than create all of my art in duplicate fashion. This makes it a little more difficult to market, but doing the same thing repetitively bores me. While some of my pieces and series will look different than others, there is a common thread and unique style that ties my work together.
