ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece belongs to the series of paintings called Torn Posters and alludes to memory and the passage of time. The work is composed of two panels of 130 x 54 cm each. On this occasion I have taken as a reference the canon that Albert Dürer used in the Renaissance and I have interpreted it by transferring it to our time. Advertising, comics, cinema or television serve as inspiration for the composition of this work. The piece has been made in acrylic tempera with permanent pigments on 100% cotton canvas that has been previously primed with chalk. The piece has subsequently been varnished. Installation with a separation of 5 cm between both pieces is recommended for a better visualization of the pieces separately, but if the collector wishes, they can also be installed together.
