Angela Kushchyk is a Ukrainian artist, working with techniques of etching, lithography, engraving, watercolor, acrylic and using ethnic motives in her creative palette. She graduated in 1999 from the Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, studying at the books graphic faculty. From 2019 to 2021 she lived and worked in Addis Ababa on her art project "I am in Ethiopia". It includes more than 100 graphics and paintings. The project was presented in 2021 at the St. George Golla Art Gallery in Ethiopia (support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Ethiopia). At the beginning of the Russian war in February and March 2022 Angela Kushchyk was in Kyiv and produced various paintings about the impact of the war on Ukrainians. On the basis of these works, together with Kateryna Onul, she created the charity project "STOP THE WAR IN UKRAINE!", implemented in Poland, Germany, Ireland, and Austria. In May 2022, the project received the Europeans Art Award in Munich as the best art project.
