About The Artwork
Discovering the world really fascinates me. Stories of exploration and adventure have kept me awake for long hours when I was a little girl. Now, having grown-up, I can explore the world for real. This is one of the many reasons why I started an on-going series of paintings around travel and exploration. Everyone has its own view on what it means and here I present a small part of mine. Airplane view represents the mystery and the excitement of a new destination, staring at the clouds imagining what I would do and the thrill of new adventures ahead of me. The painting is 50cm in height and 60cm in wide. It was done using fine oil Van Gogh paints on canvas.

Born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and raised in Brussels, Belgium, since her teens, Julia Tulub has a passion for arts, science and the world. Mostly self-taught, she refined her knowledge of oil painting and drawing at an artist’s private studio. After years of experimenting, she settled on the simplicity of graphite pencils and the versatility of oil paintings, while regularly trying other mediums for fun. Her favourite subjects are women, nature and wildlife.
