Inspired by the pastel buildings and skies of the French Island in the Mediterranean by the same name. Prepared with fresco secco then worked with many round of painting and layers. The work takes on a codification of patterns, geometries. This is a galley wrapped canvas on panel with finished edges, so no need for framing.

Alicia LaChance

Alicia LaChance is a full time painter based out of St. Louis, Missouri. She is represented by galleries across the Untied Sates. Recently, her painting, New Village, was reinterpreted as a 27' terrazzo floor public art installation at St. Louis International Airport. This work was also highlighted in the Wall Street Journal. Her paintings were selected by Julie Rodriguez Widholm, the Pamela Alper Associate Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, for the 2011 Midwest edition of New American Paintings. Most recently, she has been commissioned to create original artworks for Roman & Williams for a project at the CAA. The artist is proud to be working with a design team recently ranked by Architectural Digest as one of the top 100 design firms in the world. Her artwork is in collections throughout the US and abroad. LaChance is also co-founder of Hoffman LaChance Contemporary, a community based exhibition space that focuses on the exchange between regional artist and curators.
