In Polish language, the word "act" has many meanings. It is used to describe, for example, the figure of a naked model posing in front of the artist. The same word describes an active attitude: some sudden act of violence or, conversely, a heroic act. Although my paintings are abstractions, each of them concerns a feeling, a specific experience. As a human, I ask myself philosophical questions about the meaning of life, as a woman I undertake a discourse on the state of social exclusion or violence, as a person, I see the struggle in every other person around me. My gestures on canvas are like the dance of a shaman in a trance.
