Watercolor on Fabriano Artistico 300g paper. “Alice II” is freely inspired by the work of Lewis Carroll: “Alice in Wonderland”. In my painting, Alice is no longer a little girl, but a young girl who tenderly holds her rabbit. Her gaze is soft and contemplative, she is dreaming. The animal itself seems light and is not entirely defined, could it be imaginary? Through its symbolic power, the white rabbit (here light gray) connects Alice to her dreams. The colors used are pastels. The purple of the dress contributes to this atmosphere of mystery, the turquoise background, haloed with stars, reinforces the feeling of dream... This painting is mounted on canvas, varnished and surrounded by a neutral gray acrylic border.
