Charlynn is an abstract painter originally from Los Angeles, now living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her mother was an artist as is her sister and Charlynn grew up immersed in making art. She has a studio in the Historic Benicia Arsenal artist complex in Benicia, CA. She works in both oil and cold wax medium and acrylics. She likes to experiment adding other materials and media to the paint to create interesting textures and marks. She paints intuitively, responding sometimes to music, sometimes to poetry, sometimes to life.
