The almond blossom trees are a constant source of inspiration. They are the first tree that blossoms in January and February every year. Flowering blossom trees represent awakening and hope. Almond trees add a special charm to the landscapes of Andalucia. Their willowy, wispy branches and delicate flowers grace hillsides and craggy cliffside areas with an elegant beauty. The colours and scents of their blossoms bring the springtime countryside to life. It’s an amazing experience to drive through large expanses of land cultivated with almond trees, but even more delicious is to walk through the groves. Kirsty Wain has been inspired by Van Gogh's painting of almond blossoms, in this piece she explores strong contrasting light and dark colour tones. The pale white petals of the flowers contain flecks of pink, lemon yellows, and turquoise and are set against an intense midnight blue and violet background, with large close-ups of the beautiful spring flowers in bloom. The prominent branches are twisted and layered with heavily textured ochres, violets, rose pinks, and olive greens The brushstrokes are applied with expressive marks creating a beautiful and atmospheric artwork "Almond Blossom at Night" is an original oil painting on a 3cm deep stretched canvas. The piece is 85cm tall and 90 cm wide, and the sides of the painting are painted "wrap-around style," so the piece can hang without a frame.

´There exists a correlation between the soul, place, and destiny, and my paintings serve as a representation of this connection¨. Kirsty Wain, a talented contemporary British painter currently based in Spain, explores the profound connection between the soul, place, and destiny through her artwork, which has been featured in prestigious exhibitions such as 'Being with Trees' in Gibraltar and 'Regeneration' at the Hansard Studio in London. Her pieces, which focus on the beauty of landscapes, can be found in private collections worldwide, as she employs color and line to capture the true essence of each location with a sense of liberation and individuality. Kirsty Wainś landscape art endeavors to encapsulate the intrinsic nature of a location by employing a liberal approach, utilizing color and line to construct a harmonious arrangement. The influence of post-impressionism resonates throughout her creations, characterized by the application of thick, textured paint onto the canvas. Enthused by the perpetual beauty of the natural world, Kirsty Wain finds inspiration in the intricate details of trees, the undulating contours of the terrain, the vastness of the ocean, and the captivating allure of the skies. Each place holds significance for Wain, evoking vivid recollections of a fleeting instant or a poignant memory.
