This series was inspired by the book "Is there a world to come? Essay on the fears and ends" (“Há mundo por vir? Ensaio sobre os medos e os fins”) of Déborah Danowski and Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, where they describes cosmologies of the original peoples of the Amazonian forest. I imagined this people, lost in time, trying to understand the Christian Jewish cosmology and the world of things created by capitalism. They close their eyes because there is nothing to see that makes sense. I try to create in the spectator a moment of silence and to try to recreate the images of a world that is being devastated in which the Indians seem to have neither place nor time. The work was done with oil on sheet of a 1936 handwritten ledger. On this sheet are written numbers and names of people who no longer exist or are about to die. The Indian persists on them as the ideal of the man-nature relationship.
