Andromeda Print

I had a client that commissioned me to do a painting involving the female human form. During a life drawing session I had created a picture of a naked woman that I decided to transform into a painting of a mythological character. I chose Andromeda as the theme as there is a constellation associated with her and I came up with the idea of depicting her as entering a 'portal' through which she would be transformed into a constellation/stars. I hope the viewer will get a sense of my love of painting the human form and my wish to portray old themes in a new light. I chose to use acrylics as it was a medium that I was experimenting with at the time and the client requested that I use it.
