ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Birds of different sizes and colors are part of my daily life. I am lucky enough to be visited by several of the species I paint, all I need to do is open the window to appreciate them. The Ara macao, here in Brazil also called Aracanga, was one of the beautiful species that was part of my childhood, flying over our house while I played in the backyard. With their sound and vibrant colors, they make a point of being observed in all their splendor. It is impossible to resist your beauty and incredible friendliness! I hope I managed to convey a little of the exuberant beauty of this bird through this watercolor painting.
