ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is taken from a photograph of my Paternal Grandmother. It couldn't have been taken long after she arrived in this country fleeing the genocide in Armenia. She herself witnessed her mother being raped and murdered. Her entire family was killed. I could still see the tremble in her expression on that photo yet there was a strength and dignity. I hope i was able to capture some of that.
