MARTA SHMATAVA: I was born in February 15, 1965 in Minsk, Belarus. Live in Minsk. My interests in art refer to a uniqueness of a human being, an individual. I use the language of symbols and not the world of action - I explore and visualize the human experiences and meditations that are linked to inner self of a human being. I examine the immortal soul wrapped around by the world existence. I am interested in the subjects of self-conflict, self-search and a human interaction. My characters find their strength in spirituality, freedom and responsibility. The color has a symbolic value and contributes to the disclosure of meanings paintings. Person and Time, Nature and Freedom, Harmony among people serve me a source of inspiration. My paintings synthesize several styles: Figurative, Symbolism and Surrealism.
