ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Memories of summers at the shore creep into my painting from time to time. The ocean near Provincetown is one of my favorite subjects - I try to create the feeling of seeing the waves dashing onto the sand, and hope the viewer can sense the breeze and the mist and the movement of the waves. I painted it with acrylic paint and a palette knife for the spontaneity of application, allowing for some serendipity! The painting is wired for hanging. It does not need a frame, but if the new owner wishes to frame it I might suggest an off-white floater frame so that the whole painting is visible.
