ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is an abstract in movement. The random nature of the brush strokes are fluid, yet can be sharp and angular. The black on gold is one of my favorite combinations with a white background is stunning. With the correct lighting the gold glistens, adding that extra dimension to the over all appeal. The edges are painted and it is varnished with a subtle satin finish to enhance the color and protect the paint. This painting is 122 cm x 91 cm and can be hung either landscape or portrait. It is a very striking piece and it enhances any room with its simplicity of design and the color combinations. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang with felt cushion to protect your walls. This painting will be shipped in a crate for your protection.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured plaster bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination.
