ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I wanted to paint an Allegory of Seduction. To use an ancient language of Icongraphie a set clues for the viewer to find in order to puzzle out the possible story of this young girl. Inspired by the works of Vermeer, this painting was an effort to paint extreme subtlety as in the Japanese aesthetic of yūgen.
