ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This was my favorite beach growing up in California. I smile just thinking of the sticky sweet snow cones and splashing around in the cold whitewater. Avila is a little cove nestled in the Central Coast of California. I tried to capture how bright and beautiful it is looking out from the pier. I chose to make short strokes for a more defined look, with movement so the viewer could feel the pounding of the waves crashing against the pier under their feet like I did from that spot.
