ARY is a visual artist from France. Growing up between Lyon and Cannes, he was exposed to modern and contemporary art from a very young age, and quickly developed an interest towards painting and design. Architect by trade, he was the Head architect for the renovation of the International Labor Organization in Switzerland, before becoming a serial entrepreneur in the tech industry. ARY is an avid urban explorer, having met hundreds of local communities in more than 50 countries including Myanmar, the Philippines, and Japan. He is a part of both abstract expressionist and marbling movements. He considers canvas as volumes rather than flat elements, often using shadow gaps to draw a visual continuity between different pieces. ARY currently lives in New York.
