About The Artwork

Before start painting elephants, I have watched lots of documentaries about elephants. I imagined myself an elephant. I turned on ethnic african and indian music. All of it you can feel in this painting’s energy as I was using oil colors to create it. Oil colors are alive, it contains lots of information and in years the aura power of this painting will increase. An elephant is a powerful positive symbol. As a high royal animal it is valued for its wisdom and slyness. The elephant who first told about Buddha’s birth is a symbol of human’s freedom from the world’s bonds. In Hinduism, The Elephant is a god of literature and wisdom. In Acient China an elephant is a symbol of mind and power. In Archaic World an elephant was a symbol of a god Mercurius as a symbol of kin’s wisdom and mighty. As a long-living creature. an elephant is a symbol of death’s defeat. In Middle Age literature you could find a recognition to an elephant’s virtue. An elephant otter is a symbol in Paradise pictures and on emblems. An elephant was a symbol of Syam Kingdom (modern Thailand). In China people believe that riding an elephant in your night dreams means to find happiness.
