And watercolors with seascapes and sailboats are a pleasant and stylish addition to a modern interior. If you look at the map of Poland, in the upper right corner you will see a long thin line that resembles the tail of some large animal. This is the Gaelic Peninsula, or Gaelic Spit, a 35-kilometer stretch of land where, as Poles say, Poland begins. Every year there is "March of the Herring", the participants of which walk 12 kilometers... along the sea. The fact is that there is a shoal in Putsky Bay, which can be passed on foot (up to the knee in water), overcoming only some sections of the path to the surface. In the Middle Ages, missionaries passed this way, which impressed the inhabitants of the surrounding villages: they thought that they were walking on water, because no one knew about the geological phenomenon at that time. Every year, only one hundred people can take part in the march and it is not a competition, there are neither winners nor losers, each participant receives a commemorative diploma and souvenirs. And at one of the stages of the march, participants are treated to herring —it's enough to want to take part in this entertainment. Along the shoal, as well as around the entire Gelska Spit, there are chic spaces for yachting and other types of water sports.
